CRUISE LINES have a clause in the contract that basically insulates them from performance of their end of the bargain. Insurance Companies frequently have clauses that exempt the very insured loss that you wanted covered in the first place. Almost all businesses selling service or protection of this kind or that have clauses that mandate arbitration in a forum that starts out weighted in their favor ... but they all like commercials that want us to really believe they have our best interests at heart.
